About Me
Trained in the mysterious arts of Web Design
Hi there and welcome to Scottify, my little piece of the web. Thanks for taking the time to read this, I’m glad I’m not just talking to myself. So allow me to tell you a little about myself and my site. Scottify was put together to showcase the work I have undertaken as a Web Designer and Developer.

Born and raised in Kent in the South-East of England, with dreams of becoming an architect, I got myself 10 GCSE’s and 4 A Levels. Those dreams soon shifted when I discovered I wasn’t very good at physics, so instead I started building websites. Playing around with tools like Macromedia Dreamweaver (old school) I soon picked up this web malarky. From this point I then decided to go to University to become a fully fledged Web Design with a piece of paper to prove it.
University and Placement with Beef
In September 2007 I started my Web Design Bsc(Hons) Degree at the University of West England (UWE) in Bristol. In July 2009, between my 2nd and 3rd year of my course, I started working for an awesome design agency called Beef, also in Bristol. Most of the work in my portfolio was completed while working for them. My role at Beef was a Front-End Developer with me taking care of the XHTML, CSS and Javascript for most of the sites. My placement lasted until June 2010. I am now in my Final year of University and graduate in 2011.
I’m now undertaking some freelance opportunities as well as my little side project of Scatter with friend and fellow Web Designer Tom Brooks. You can follow all the news on scatter via our twitter account. We hope to have it ready for September 2010, so keep an eye out.
What interests me
The quote at the top of the page does a pretty good job of describing me. My nature is very driven no matter what I’m doing be it web, following football or just playing on the xbox. Of course there are a lot of things that I’m interested in apart from the web. I’m a huge film fan and have around 200 films in my collection, with Fight Club being one of my all time favourites. It is such a quotable film that I often find myself going back to watching it every few months.

I’m also into my music and love going to gigs. This year I am off to Reading Festival to see a number of bands including Blink 182, Paramore and Queens of the Stone Age. Feel free to follow me on last.fm for my listening habits. As mentioned I am a huge football fan and have followed Liverpool since I was 8 years old. I can also be found on XBOX Live. Feel free to add me for a game of Call of Duty, Smackdown vs Raw or Fifa. My gamertag is Scottify.
I’m also a huge Star wars geek as you probably noticed by the photo. I like the fact I’m still passionate about something I adored as a child, although I think most people still have a soft spot for Star Wars no matter how old they are. The picture above is my signed photo from Jeremy Bulloch aka Boba Fett, feel free to read the blog post about meeting him ‘When Scott Met Boba‘.
Thanks for reading…
Well thank you for taking the time to read all about me, I hope by now you have an insight into the world of Scott. If you want to follow me feel free to add me on any of the sites on the left hand side. Now go fourth and spread the word… or just go look at my portfolio or blog.
Cheers
Scott Llewellyn
